About USTrailrunner
In January of 2004 Trey and I were on the way to our first "long distance" trail race. It was a 25K. We realized through all of our training that there were few single sources for all information that was trail running. We had also noticed that there is a tremendous community of trail runners whom are extremely supportive of each other. And we wanted to provide a place for them to meet and share their experiences of trail running. While in pursuit of these simple goals we also have the vision of making trail running more accessible. We aim to do this by creating shorter distance races 10K and under so that there isn't such a large gap between most road race distances and the trail races. As we strive to help others learn more about trail running it is our goal to help reinforce the trail runner's love and respect for the environment to the newcommers. We hope that you will become an active part of the USTrailrunner community and particpate as we grow to meet your, the trail runner, needs.
At USTrailrunner we are focused on three aspects for the trail running community:
- Provide a place for runners that have already embraced the awesome trails to find all the information they need regarding trails, gear, training and events as it specifically relates to trail running.
- Create a community, products and services to help road runners discover the fun, excitement and enjoyment of the outdoors that comes from trail running.
- Actively engage the entire trail running community from beginner to advanced competitor to provide product, services and a meeting place for all to further their trail running accomplishments.
