I was a cross-country runner for 6 years in my teens and loved it. And when I quit after my senior year in high school I thought I'd never run farther than 5 miles again in my life. But even then my body knew that some day I would run further because a 10-mile road race in The Woodlands, Texas was my favorite race.

For the next 10 years running took a back seat while I ferociously took up rock-climbing and backpacking to get my outdoor fix.

In 2002 I started running again and immediately got into trail running. There is some great trail running in the Texas Hill Country(just west of Austin). I have found that same access to trails and awesome exposure to the outdoors in my most recent location, the SF Bay Area. I just couldn't stay away from that beauty. The beauty of the trail.

I train between 8:15s and 9:30s depending on the distance and can get as low as a 6:25 for a mile(don't ask for any more distance out of that pace). I love this sport. And I hope to keep increasing my distance and the places I run. And if you ever want to spend some time sharing your passion for trail running feel free to email me and I'll share my passion of this sport with you.
